do you remember the first time you got drunk on home brew? For me it was the same as i'm drinking tonight Coopers Wheat Beer. I was shocked at how clean and non drowsy it felt although there is a down side, if i drink something like Heineken now all i want to do is sleep. Guess i need to brew more cause i can't afford to drink Chimay blue every night <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt="" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D --> why is that? i can drink more chimay blue than Heineken and it's twice as strong. Chemicals? Can't wait to start ag, i'm aiming for good Friday.

I remember chewing my way though a cloudy, kit and kilo ale. But I didn't note any particularly distinctive affects.

Most amusing was a couple of years later when I gave some of my turbo charged home-brew to some friends of mine and watched them drink it like it was commercial beer, despite the fact that it was something just under 7%. That was funny within an hour.

My Dad and I polished of 25 litres of kit and sugar Irish ale one Christmas. I kegged it and thought it was the best stuff I'd ever tasted. My Dad kept on saying it was very quaffable. He certainly quaffed a fair bit of it.

A friend of mine had two pints of it, against his better judgment, and claimed it made him sick for days afterward. Bloody lightweight.
