shipping beer from Belgium? 17 years 4 months ago #1

Has anyone done this on a trip to Belgium? I'm off to Bruges in a couple of weeks and was thinking of doing this as its handier and probably cheaper than carrying it on a plane. Would it be worth doing considering the cost?

Worth looking into, just be wary of customs as they may detain the package and make you pay the vat due

I seriously doubt it would be cheaper. For example to the UK you can bring in 110 litres of beer via plane. I doubt that your bags would be big enough. Consider going by boat (may not be easy to get to brugges)?

Shipping costs from the kettle rule of thumb: Living inside netherlands €1 per kg. So for outside the netherlands expect to pay approx 50 cent to €1 per 330 ml bottle.
