That line of latitude runs just south of Buenos Aires and it's the OG of your beer.[/quote:29k1pb9b]

Sean,

I like that one! Excellent suggestion.

It is now in secondary and has a very pleasant hoppiness with no obvious hint of grapefruit, so it appears to be true that is nothing like US Cascade. There seemed to be something else (very pleasant) in there that I recognised but can't describe.

It's always difficult to tell how a brew is going to turn out by tasting it mid fermentation, but I almost can't wait!

I too find it hard to pick a name for a brew. Maybe we could keep a thread going that offers outside help to those who can't choose a name for their creation, especially if it's something different, with the ICB member whose name is chosen being the reciever of the first bottle of the brew??

Hear Hear

(or Here Here, in the case of the bottles of home brew )

Les -> I have heard that Argentinian Cascade tend to be quite similar to Hallertauer Hersbrucker. Is that the aroma you are getting?

Silenus -> If you want help with naming a beer, start a thread.

I have no idea. I'd have to brew using Hersbrucker and compare...

Seems fair enough. I will try my best to get a bottle or 2 to Sean, but no promises...
