I saw the Liverpool match in Marseille last night and they couldn't have Carlsberg on their jersey due to what I presume is a ban on alcohol advertising. Wasn't much point really as every time the camera showed Liverpool fans in the crowd they had Carlsberg on every jersey <!-- s:lol: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_lol.gif" alt=":lol:" title="Laughing" /><!-- s:lol: -->

While I have no problem with a ban on alcohol advertising in Ireland, I question the effectiveness of such a ban in a country where so much of our mass media actually comes from and is regulated by the country next door.
