But it won't mean more choice in beer. This is the marketing people pandering to restaurant owners who know nothing about beer and fooling them into thinking that there is such a thing as a one size fits all beer for drinking with food. That way, the restaurateur buys this beer and thinks that's the craft market taken care of.
Only people who have no idea of the variety of beers styles out there and which style compliments which food would even consider such a concept.
It's a great marketing gimmick to have a bunch of wine people help develop a beer to go with food, but would the same people be willing to recommend a single wine to match all food?
