And it only seems like last year that they said malt prices were rising? Well, it [i:3movtj2o]was [/i:3movtj2o]last year. But apparently the farmers get only 1c per pint of guinness sold[/url:3movtj2o]. I wonder do they get more for other beers?

It sounds to me a bit like asking how much of each pint does the person who designed the logo on the glass get?

"oblivious":2qvvu9cf wrote: not really, a logo is not a raw material[/quote:2qvvu9cf]But the cost of creating it is one of the things the customer is paying for, so surely it's the same thing? Who's to say, given everything else going on, that 1c per pint isn't an over-inflated price for the barley? Without any context, what are we supposed to think is reasonable: 2c? 26c? €1?
Or are we just meant to go "Ooo, 1c isn't very much. No farmer can live on 1c. Naughty Diageo"?
