ICB + BBC = You on TV 17 years 9 months ago #1

Remember this thread[/url:sea7dj1t], where a TV researcher was looking for places in Ireland to visit with James May and Oz Clarke so they could sample the local drinks?

The plans are a bit more definite now and they're going to be filming a sequence in the Bull & Castle. The proposed idea is for Oz and James to come looking for good Irish beer, try the wares at the B&C bar, and then meet the people who are handcrafting their own high-quality beers: you lot.

They've asked us to assemble as many home brewers as possible, and the date is Friday 8th August (sorry, Hendrixcat and anyone else at the GBBF that day). I don't have a time as yet.

I think it's a great opportunity to raise the profile of homebrewing generally, and send another shot across the bows of Big Beer in Ireland.

If you're interested in coming along, in whatever capacity, let us know here.

Excellent stuff.

Should have invited them to the last tasting session <!-- s;) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" title="Wink" /><!-- s;) -->

Great stuff, I'll try to make it - any idea if it's a day/evening event?

Edit: [quote:3iaixjz4] I don't have a time as yet. [/quote:3iaixjz4] Never mind <!-- s:roll: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_rolleyes.gif" alt=":roll:" title="Rolling Eyes" /><!-- s:roll: -->

This is super. I love the idea, but must confess to not being too upset about my mug possibly not turning up on the TV.

What beer are we going to feed them? Are we open to influence....?
