Yorkshire Recommendations 17 years 9 months ago #1

Myself and himself are heading over to Yorkshire to the Lake District and the Dales to do some hill walking and caving. While there we're hoping to sample some fine ales. The trip will be called Up Hill and Down Ale <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D -->

So has anyone got any recommendations for us? Ales, pubs, brewpubs, breweries, random other stuff that we should go see.

Thanks a million

A Swift One[/url:3t7sxj3g] is a beer blog written from this general part of the world, and has a dinky local festival calendar in the side bar.

You should it make it your business to have a pint of Landlord[/url:3fm3ftqp] seeing as you'll be in that part of the world.

Definitely (even though I don't like the stuff. I seem to be alone in that regard).

The list of top-class Yorkshire breweries is nearly endless: Theakston's, Black Sheep, Samuel Smith, York, Daleside,[/size:1y19n3rm] Ossett, Copper Dragon...[/size:1y19n3rm]

Keep an eye of for Theakston's Black Bull, one of my favourites.
