But few people here seems to appreciate interesting beers. I need an outlet!

Like I said, I'm not gloating, so there I just thought [i:16hhi61o]somebody [/i:16hhi61o]might be interested in hearing about a few beers that are not so common outside Germany, and the "not gloating" tag is to prevent my lack of Galway Hooker being thrown at me

I tried the Kaiserdom Pilsner the other night, and while it started off pretty good, I found it a little sticky/sweet towards the end, but it was a very hot night, and it probably wasn't chilled enough. Worth getting a couple of bottles though (out of curiousity, what are Dunnes charging?). The Mahr's Bräu Pilsner on the other hand was really nice, but I'm saving descriptions for another outlet

dunnes charge 6.99 for 6 x 500ml bottles. they also do a funny loooking 1 litre can.

pity beer cant be shipped at hose prices....whats the nearest ryanair airport to Bamberg its somewhere I'd love to go ( cheaply of course)..

That's not a bad price, as I reckon I paid about 1.20 per bottle considering delivery and all. Expensive for a beer here by all accounts.

I was just looking to see where the nearest international airport to Bamberg would be, and it seems Frankfurt might be a good choice, as it's about a 2 hour drive east to Bamberg, or it's possible to get a train fairly easily. Munich is only a little bit further away (around 260 versus [i:2sjxwg14]c.[/i:2sjxwg14] 230km). Not many alternatives from Ryanair or Aer Lingus.

Looks like a nice place to visit allright!
