new beer available 17 years 11 months ago #1

hey guys,
allow me to introduce myself-my name is wally kearon.
i've been invovled in the craft and niche beer business for the last ten years
i hope to have a new beer wholesale company(grand cru beers) up and running in the next month or so specialising in importing great beer from around the world replaceing the now sadly defunct eurobeers for whom i worked with for 5 years
while waiting for the paper work to be sorted out i'm operating with porterhouse brewery as this still allows me to get beer into the market.
i would welcome any suggestions on styles or brands you guys would like see available.
just arrived is some beer from meantime brewery which has only ever been available on a very limited scale- i've brought in their pale ale 4.7% raspberry grand cru 6.5% and their india pale ale 7.5%- this should start to filter out to the premium shops over the next few week but please feel free to contact me as regards availabilty!
anyway look forward to hearing from you,
regards,
wally

Welcome to the site Wally.
I think I speak for all of us when I say that it is great news that you will be setting up a new company to fill the vacuum left by the much missed Eurobeers.

Hi Wally,

Welcome to the group, and it's great to hear from you.

It's even greater to hear that we can expect Meantime IPA on the shelves soon: I've been looking forward to trying it for some time.

As regards things I'd like to see available, I really miss Alba by the Heather Ale Company (the Fraoch people). Celtic Whiskey used to sell it but I've not seen it in years. I'd also love to see some of the good-quality canned Belgian beers: Rodenbach in particular, though I don't suppose the fancy-pants offies would be interested in selling them.

Just park the forklift in my driveway...

Hi Wally,

Welcome - as already mentioned we were sad to learn of the demise of Eurobeers as they brought a great selection into the country. I'm looking forward to the Meantime beers, I've heard good things about them. I know you're already bringing in some of the better US craft brews, I'd be delighted to see more of them coming in, pale ales and IPAs in particular are always welcome.

Great to hear.

Off the top of my head I would like to see some of the De Ranke beers such as Guldenberg and XX Bitter, Cantillion St Lamvinus, and Houblon Chouffe Dobbelen IPA Tripel if possible.

Best of luck with your venture Wally.
