Dusty Bottles 18 years 1 month ago #1

I was doin a bit of a clean out and found some Erdinger Snow Beer. Its best before June -07.
Now, i dont mind suppin beers slightly out of date. But i am curious cos it's got lots of yeast in the bottle and would like to know how it tastes.
I've had belgian beer well out of date, and with no effect sides, but do the same rules apply to the german variety???

It’s probably safe to drink, anything over 5% alcohol starts to be detrimental of micro flora, but that style may not hold up to aging. Lets us know how its taste

Elderly wheat beers tend to taste a bit stale and musty in my experience. Not pleasant, but not spit-it-out awful either.

It'll get you pissed, and sure isn't that the main thing with beer?
