The Master's Apprentice 18 years 1 month ago #1

Just got a heads up about a programme on RTE tonight called "The Master's Apprentice" featuring a girl getting shown the ropes of the pub trade by the Porterhouse people.

Could be worth a viewing. It's on at 7:30 on RTE1[/url:3j1l67qz].

Is that a repeat? Because it sounds very familiar.
If it is, and if I remember correctly, she wants to go into the cocktail bar business. Besides being shown how to pour a pint of stout, and working behind the bar, there's very little beer/brewing interest in the programme.
She tries to sell cocktails to the regulars.
I'm not saying not to watch it, but a programme about beer it ain't (of course my memory of it could be a little hazy).

"Remember: nobody drinks beer because they like the taste. It's just to get hammered. Since we don't sell the beers advertised on TV, you will need to disparage the stock we do have at every opportunity.

"OK? Now, four pints of Westmalle for table 12..."

missed the show 18 years 1 month ago #5

I missed the show Master's Apprentice last night about Porterhouse. Does anyone know if it is possible to watch it from RTE's website or something like that? Or is it not even worth trying to find from their website archives?
