Hi, I was wondering if a brewery could apply for a licence to sell their beer at a festival or the like.
I know you have to have an existing licence to sell alcohol to apply for this type of licence.
Thanks

I suppose you could give someone with a licence a few quid to use it?[/quote:25b7hzoj]
Basically, someone with an on-sales license would have to transfer it, meaning that the premises that the license was transferred from would be prohibited from selling alcohol until it was transferred back.

It doesn't work that way. The existing licence is "extended" to cover the event, meaning both can serve alcohol.

Yes, Tube is right. A bit more than giving someone with a licence a few quid too. You'll need to go to court to apply for the transfer
