That's great to see; and there are eight different teams/brewers for the competition.

I wonder how many other Irish homebrew 'groups', web based or otherwise, are out there happily brewing away.

yeah it is good to see that there are more brewers out there than just us. i hope that they'll contact us soon and maybe even sign up here, interesting to see that none of our members seem to be involved there and that none of their members seem to be involved here.

it would be good to have some dialogue between the two groups don't you think.

I don't think or at least i have not heard of them on Jim's forum or American ones

It would be nice to meet up and share ideas, but perhaps they like their autonomy, and don't want to be part of other brewing groups.

They don't have to be part of anything to say Hi and maybe chat about brewing. It's not as if we have much in the way of formal organisation anyway.
