I could swear that one of the pics is of a lad I was in college with. Haven't seen him for years though.

Looks like the recently mentioned Bud Light Promotion Team were there too :

I know what The OghamBrew Club is: because I happen to be one of its founding members!

I'd like to say a big hello from everyone at OghamBrew to everyone here at IrishCraftBrewer.

Thanks a lot Séan for the invitation to join ICB and to Beeristhereason for making initial contact with us.

Basically, OghamBrew was set up in late 2007 by a few individuals with a fondness for beer and who were keen to start homebrewing. Intuition told us that if we wanted to do it, then others out there must also be harbouring similar desires to brew their own beer. So as an initial experiment we spread the word among some people we knew and got a great response. We figured that as people are driven by goals and the prospect of having fun, we should give our band of brewers something to strive for. Hence our Fleadh Óil OghamBrew Homebrew Festival was born.

We planned that at the gathering these new brewers would bring along the fruits of their labour for everyone to have a taste and three beer loving judges would award prizes to the top brews chosen.

So the initial festival went ahead in March of this year and as some of you may have seen from the photos on our website, the evening was a great success and fun was had by all.

Far from being oblivious to the ICB website we became aware of you guys from early on and we think you're providing a valuable resource and platform for the brewing community here in Ireland. So good on ye and keep up the good work!

Well, it's nice to be on board.

Great to hear from you. The home brew community is clearly larger than we all thought.

Welcome (finally and officially, since you've been lurking I gather! <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) -->) to ICB. Since we started this up I'm still amazed by the numbers of people who are joining, showing that there is a broader interest in brewing out there that we never imagined. And to see an entire other group just reinforces that!

I was wondering how many people are part of your group, and if any are already members of ICB, just for an idea of how big the brewing community really is in Ireland.

BTW, is the person behind Carney Brew a Rob Carney by any chance?
