Not a beer question, but a mobile one... Roaming on 3 in Spain means getting rode on data, so I'm looking for a local PAYG sim with plenty of data. Voice and texts not so important. Anyone any suggestions?

Vodafone Espana's 'Welcome To Spain' Data or Voice/Data SIMs. I pay €15 for 1.6gb data- easily enough for over a weeks email, twitter and light browsing.

Just remember to bring your passport when you go to purchase the SIM. You can then top up whenever needed (even certain supermarkets do topups but I never worked out which ones)

Unfortunately not- haven't been to the USA since 2000
