Monday Night Oliver Plunkett Street Cork, middle of the Road Bar, 5.40 for my Guests Heino, 6.40 for my bottle of Stonewell Cider.

Just the one!, in fairness it was nice sitting on the street watching a busy Cork world go by before we departed for Elbow Lane.

Is Stonewell not always around the €6+ mark? It's an extra 1.2% stronger than Heineken and they don't get 50% off the excise like the microbreweries as well. Seems a reasonable enough price to me, tbh.

Would be interesting to see how much a bottle of Bulmers was in the Oliver plunkett. Stonewell definitely not cheap, but seems very popular. Re the Tiger being back, definitely see the signs of it, as two country pubs close to me that closed a couple years back are in the process of re-opening. I won't hold my breath re the beer selection, but you never know.

How was the food/drink at Elbow lane? Tried to go in there last week, but the wait was an hour and a half, so went to Market Lane instead.

How about 6.90 for a pint of Howling Gale in Drury Buildings Dublin on a recent Saturday night.
The beer didn't even taste fresh ... which probably isn't surprising if they are charging those sort of prices.
