What to do in Bratislava? 10 years 11 months ago #1

Request from an engineering forum I am on:

"Is there anyone out there from or has visited Bratislava ? Could anyone recommend things to see/do ."

I am sure Drink must be high on the agenda!

Was there years ago for a conference & had a half day to faff around. There a nice walk to the castle with lovely views of the city & Danube.
I also managed a visit to the national gallery & natural history museum- both were within walking distance of the old town

At that time it wasn't (as yet) infested with hens & stags but was heading that way. Beer wise all I was looking for was Pilsner Urquell- not everywhere had it- lots of places it's just Zlaty Bazant

When I was there a few years ago there was really nice Belgian bar that had a decent selection of (obviously) belgian beers. Also did nice plates of meat and cheese.

Goulash in a sourdough bread bowl should definitely be on the agenda too

Think that's the place.

Was nice to sit outside on a nice crisp cool evening with a blanket over you and a delirium tremens in hand
