Anyone thinking of travelling in or out of Heuston Station for the rest of the year would be advised to check in advance what rail arrangements are planned as there is line work going on between Hazelhatch and Port Laoise which is resulting in bus substitutions and service cancellations.

Two examples:
- Anyone travelling from Waterford (or south of Athy) for Alltech on Sat 28th Feb will have the pleasure of doing over half the journey by bus.
- Easterfest in Fran Well on Saturday 4th April: half of all trains each way are cancelled, resulting in less choice and busier services.
