I'll be in Dublin in the next few weeks for a rugby match. Looking for a bar near Trinity for craft beer and decent food. Is Porterhouse Central the best option? What is Doyles on College St like? Opinions and advice welcome.

Also, is there a good offie on Parkgate St. for a few homeward bound bottles / cans?

How near? The Norseman is about 5 minutes walk.

yeah or sweetmans of course, taster trays, decent food a few guests and growlers for takeaway

Bring lots of money too. Prices north of €5.50 in a lot of places now.

Thanks, never been to the Norseman beer, range looks impressive, is it near to the Palace on Fleet St? Not looking for high end food just a decent filler to keep the cold out, is their grub good?

Been to Sweetmans once or twice, liked their beer, not eaten there, is the food good?

only ever had platters at norseman. very good quality. good place if you wanna go there.

Food at sweetman also good and pretty good value
