Yeah, I knew about that. Reuben went head-to-head with the winner's recipe a few years back, IIRC. But I am expecting new Guinness brand extensions and I thought they'd use the EBBC to launch them.

That's what was suggested beforehand but nothing apparent

There's no reason why they couldn't sell the 5.5% Night Porter as it is...it was quite a decent beer but I suspect they would regard the abv as being too high for commercial sale...
