Arnott's bargain store on Middle Abbey Street have a full set of knives and a large chopping board for €9.

The set includes a cleaver, carving knife, bread knife, boning knife, small sharp knife, carving fork, kitchen scissors and steel knife sharpener.

As I will be giving the set to my parents I have not actually opened the pack to check, but from what I can determine through the plastic, they appear to be of quality manufacture.

By the way, it's on Middle Abbey Street, not Liffey Street, as I originally posted.
