Continuing the recent trend of Irish brewers finding their cojones, Porterhouse have brewed a massive 11% ABV barley wine chocked full of American C-hops.
It's currently pouring ON CASK in Porterhouse Temple Bar at 4.50 for a half pint.
It's pretty good: loads of caramel, dark fruit and sticky pine resin - plenty of grapefruit in there too. Quite soupy on cask IMO, but the plan is to keg it over the next couple of weeks, so that extra CO2 will probably give it the extra lift it needs. Dangerously easy drinking mind, you've been warned!
