Offie in Athlone? 18 years 4 months ago #1

Is there such a thing in Athone as a good off licence where one may purchase interesting beer. I am supposed to be going there tomorrow for a final christmas shoppng with swmbo and would like a few extras for tasting. I have already in stock Abbot ale, Chimay blue, Bishops finger, Ruddles County and Tatchers Katy (Cider)along with a selection of homebrew.

There is an O'Briens off licience across from the golden island shopping centre. They have a reasonable selection of beers. I used to get Sierra Nevada pale ale there before eurobeers went belly up. You should take a look see.

Cheers, will do. Have to go to Golden Island so I've been told.

O'Briens is the best by far from what we have but there is huge room for improvement

Got a few interesting things for me. Fullers ESB & Honeydew Sam Adams Oktoberfest & winter beer, Chimay White and Eredinger Dunkel. I have a friend who likes his tasty beers calling round today for a tasting session.
