Yeah, I got the first part of the Cicerone qualification done (you can do it online), which was pretty handy for when I was leading tastings/food pairing events at Probus last year - although it kind of defeats the point of the qualification if when you say "Guess what, I'm a certified Craft Beer Server" and the Irish employer/customer says "Huh?! What the hell's that?!"

Pretty cool thing to do for personal development I'd say, but there's not too much point otherwise in Ireland at this stage...not too convinced with the UK Beer Sommelier one from what I've heard - just seems like an (expensive) couple of days worth of a piss up! But that's no bad thing I guess!!
