Just back from (another) stag in westport and I have to say that craft beer is taking off. I didn't get to visit every pub because everyone wanted to go to 'Matt molloys' instead, one worse pubs for craft beer. I saw signs for kinnegar beer in mcgings as well as mountain man and the local brews. Dunnings has independent brewing galway and west mayo beers and the supervalue has a whole range that wasn't there last visit. West mayo and mescan seem to be working hard getting their beer in the pubs there. I'm guessing the craft beer festival must have kicked things up a notch too...now if I could get my friends to stop going to Matt molloys I'd be right.
