thanks for that, its a great shame as there are lots of great pubs in westport. i had noticed that supervalue and one centra shop that I went into had a nod in the direction of some decent beer, stocking some O'haras, Dungarvan and a handful of the better known english ales, but its not the same as having availability in the pub. I wonder if the breweries have approached any of the Westport pubs about stocking something decent. next time i am down i will engage any publicans and barmen i encounter with my usual conversation questionning why they have such a limited selection of beer. Westport is a fabulous town with a fine array of good restaurants and artisan food producers meeting an obvious demand from locals and visitors alike. I have no doubt that decent beer would be very welcome there too.
