This was on cask in B & C when i was back in dublin. It is a mix of their IPA and the Leann Follain. It is also terrible. Looks like murky swamp water and doesn't taste much better. Really had a hard time finishing it. Anyone tried this and had a better (or worse) experience?
I thought it tasted like a slightly fruitier Leann Folláin. I reckoned the yeastiness was down to the cask not being let settle at the festival so I'm surprised it was still as murky in the Bull & Castle.
When I put the spile in, a brown mousse erupted. I made the mistake of scooping and tasting, nearly fell over. But the beer itself wasn't so bad. But it wouldn't settle over the 2 days, don't know why.
Great name for the beer. Don't know if it was down to a lucky guess because it sounds cool, or because it's a complete mess, like the movie. Or perhaps because it is a storm waiting to get out of a cask.
really like the hoppy stouts when there done well.I have the pleasure of working in The cask london now and have made the draught version of beer hop breakfast my number one after work tipple.simcoe hops compliment the chocolate excellently.another good example is ying and yang by evil twin and I wonder if it inspired o'haras to blend the two beers.good to hear of a bit of experimentation from o'haras
