I like Au l'Imaige de Nostre Dame quite close to Au Bons Bieux Temps (down the next alleyway, I think). Not a specialist beer pub, just a quiet old spot with some nice beers and relaxed vibe. They (should) have Bourgogne des Flandres on tap.

Enjoy!

+1 on those. And Toone to complete the Marché des Herbes set <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D -->

I really like A La Bécasse near there as well. They have a sweetened lambic they sell by the clay jug which I love.

+1 on the 3 Fontenin. Its a worthwhile trip by bicycle too for a meal if the weather is good.

I had my stag in Brussels some years ago and I created this map to keep us all on track. Everyone was given a copy to find their way to wherever everyone else was. It worked great and saved lots of hassle.

The best place in Brussels is not quite in Brussels lol

Go to De Heeren Van Liederkirke! Joost is a great host and the chef is excellent!

Then there's the small matter of them having the best lambic cellar in the world! Many rare and old bottles from defunct breweries at very resonable prices! Much much less than what Moeder sell for!

For example a Drie Fonteinen Hommage at Moeder...75 euros! At DHVL 20 euros...Nuff said!

Ohh and you can take bottles to go if you ask nicely!

If you get me a De Dolle Stille Nacht Special Reserva I'll give you some good beers and then some!!!

Update: I might never come back; I may have to move to Brussels...

I found a Pannepot Grand Reserva 2008 Oak Calvados version for 5.50 euros! This is one of my all time top 10 favorites; I was afraid I'd never see it again. Happy days!

"V Cense" from "Jandrain Jandrenouille" on tap was the beer that I've been blow away by so far, though. It just cannot get any respect on the beer rating sites but I doubt it travels well. On tap it's AMAZING; it's like a super Citra beer with loads of peaches thrown in (and of course plenty of belgian amber malt). I'm bringing home a bottle and if it's even half as good...

I found a Fantome Magic Ghost which is either mind blowingly amazing or vomit-inducing depending upon who you talk to; the 2nd green-colored beer that I know of. (Supposed to look like radiator antifreeze.) These are nut-job brewers so I'm excited to see just how crazy they are. (Made green from woodruff syrup which is also what makes the woodruff syrup version of Berliner Weiss green; I hope Fantome knew not to use REAL woodruff syrup because it's toxic... (Crap, woodruff syrup tastes like marshmallows mixed with marchino cherries; now I'm actually not looking forward to this beer any more!)

Why did I have to ruin this beer by reading about it first!?!?
