McFarlane’s Red Ale

Back tow weeks form Crete. Stayed in Gouves which is a quietish resort area Came across one super bar with a great selection of beers including Hoegaarden, Leffe, Paulaner, Fransikanner, some of the usual mainstream UK lagers, Guinness, Murphy's stout,, Greek beers and McFarlane’s Red Ale o draught not ot mention about 20- bottles.

The owner told me it was an Irish beer. Since I came back I did a few google searches and the only McFarlane link I came across was a McFarlane brewery in the U.S. Would not imagine the beer came to Crete from there but who knows! I think also there was some mention it was linked to Murphy’s on a poster. It was served in a stemmed glass with the beer name o nit. Did anyone ever hear of this beer? I thought it tasted very well – like a good red
