Had pint of this recently and found it bland. It's no better than Cafferys or Boddingtons or a whole host of nitro ales. Hard to believe it's from the same stable as Emerald. Now I see that Bulmers are releasing a similar beer, Caledonian Smooth. Is there a market in Ireland for these style of beers?

I heard (though it was a few years ago now) that Rusty is the biggest seller in Messrs Maguire, so there seems to be.

I used to be a fan of rusty. No trombone jokes please. Haven't had it in a while though.

Rusty is normally high up on my list in Messrs, obviously it sits at the bottom with everything else that isn't APA at the moment but I find the Rusty a good reliable pint while watching the football on a wednesday for €4.

Rustys is nice but every other nitro ale I have had has been muck. Caffreys may be the blandest and worst beer I have ever had. I bought a case of it once and threw half of it out. The only time I have EVER thrown out beer.
