D'oh! Stupid phone. Just had to retype this whole review <!-- s:x --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_mad.gif" alt="

" title="Mad" /><!-- s:x --> so it's probably less effusive this time round!
I've had all 3 of their offerings now (from McHugh's in Kilbarrack) - the Pale Ale (yellow cap), the Blonde (blue cap) and the Red (red cap, duh.)
I first tried the Pale (coz that's what I generally like) and it was bloody marvellous. The aroma was really powerful (due to the Simcoe, apparently) and it tasted great - nice and fresh and bitter.
I then had the Blonde and was distinctly underwhelmed, to be honest. Maybe in isolation it would have been better but it just couldn't match the yellow. (As an aside I then had a Pale from a well-known Ulster craft brewery which I had enjoyed previously and was equally underwhelmed)
The following night I had the Red (always drink in moderation, kids) and it too was exceptional. Fantastic, complex flavours, and gave the impression that it would only improve with time. One of those beers that people suggest should be paired with cheese and a roaring fire, but which was bloody good on it's own thanks very much.
As you can tell I was really impressed, and my only fear is that Kinnegar are packing so much flavour in that it will prove unsustainable - they'll have to let standards slip in order to make the numbers stack up.
Until then though - get stuck in, you'll be glad you did.
