Unfiltered Budwar Anywhere in Ireland? 14 years 3 months ago #1

I just read the newest Camra magazine and they mentioned that for the last few years 2 or 3 UK pubs have been receiving unfiltered Budwar directly from the brewery and that they're planning on expanding the availability a lot this year.

I would LOOOOVE to try unfiltered Budwar; it would be FANTASTIC if a pub here could also get a hold of some...

The UK Budvar distribution and marketing people are great, and they have a really good working relationship with CAMRA, despite being Filthy Keg Muck.

Ireland's Budvar distributor (Noreast) is much less interested in the geeky bells and whistles like this. When the Porterhouse ran their Czech festival the year before last they got a shipment of Budvar Yeast Beer (I assume this is the same stuff) but it went no further than the London Porterhouse <!-- s:x --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_mad.gif" alt=":x" title="Mad" /><!-- s:x -->

A trip to Prague isn't too expensive but a trip to the Bull and Castle sure would be a lot cheaper...

Unless it was my imagination the Porterhouse had unfiltered Bernard pilsner at some point a year or two back and very nice it was too.
