Most epic stout? Thornbridge St. Petersburg has to be in the conversation.

Great Divide's Yeti is my personal favorite; it's in the Russian Imperial genre.

I like my stouts strong, with layered chocolaty roast flavors, smooth almost chewy mouthfeel, and loads of hoppiness. Vanilla and coffee flavors go well with it, too.

I could be happy with a stout that didn't have ANY roast barley -blasphemy here, I know.

-Basically, I like my stouts to be super-sized robust porters and ideally aged on oak to get the vanilla notes and to take the edge off of the high ABV.

I found it a bit interesting, but slightly stale[/url:2l9bvor2].

edit:
just re-read the comments, and it was Thom who mentioned this was originally Celebration gone bad. Or different. <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) -->

So how many batches have been made since then? :/[/quote:2l9bvor2]

Funny Enough, I remember chatting to Liam about Leann Follain when it first came out, and he did said that something had gone wrong with the first batch but he wouldn't elaborate on what!! He said the next batch would be better.... which it is!!!

Interesting....
