Was in AtG at lunch (try their meatball sandwich, fantastic) and Darragh introduced me to a new beer they've just got in called Against The Grain. It's a gluten-free beer so I was a little sceptical but it's very nice, a good head and a lot of aroma/flavour. I'm not sure I could drink a large amount of it but Darragh said he'd be quite happy to have it as a session beer.

ill second this as well my fav pub in ireland at the moment
good slection of irish and forigen beer as well as whiskey/whisky that is very clearly named and priced on a chalk board. big thumbs up

knowlagable staff and a ok food menue that goes well with beer.

smallish but thats not a bad thing always.
a location that seemd to have a hex on it but seems to be doing well.

It's truly a great craft beer pub, but the beer pricing can be really strange sometimes.

A pint of Peroni for 6 Euro??
1. Is it really craft beer?
2. 6 Euro for a Peroni? (I'd normally expect a white, well-starched tablecloth and someone grating my cheese for me if I'm going to pay 6 euro for a Peroni.)

-I'm hoping its just a fluke while they try to find something to appease the lager drinkers while the Bay Lager is on the way out. (Although now that Tom Creans is on tap I'm expecting to see Peroni make a quiet exit.)

Adam bow your head in shame - drinking peroni in a pub like that - Consider the extra two euro a tax for not drinking the correct beer.

I never said I drank it. I said it cost 6 euro.

Roll back up that jump to conclusions mat of yours.

A 5am Saint, an 8 Degrees Porter (bottle), and a half pint of something I'm not going to mention but that was NOT a Peroni was had that night. See if you'd actually show up to these events then you could play the role of bad beer cop more successfully. <!-- s:wink: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_wink.gif" alt="" title="Wink" /><!-- s:wink: -->

(They didn't offer me any free grated parmasean so I COULDN'T buy it! Really, pay more attention! lol!)
