Hi,
Off topic to the general chat around here but seeing as Darren & I are flying the Irish flag here in Toronto, I thought it might be interesting to let you all know from time to time about notable things happening in the craft beer scene here.

First off, on October 30th it will be the 7th annual 'Cask Days' festival <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="caskdays.com/caskdays2011_poster_low-01.png">caskdays.com/caskdays2011_poster_low-01.png with over 50 individual (and mostly once off) casks to try. This is an incredible event and this year will be the biggest yet.

This year will be way bigger. I can't wait!

I genuinely miss Toronto when I looked at your blog and the photos - is that Bar Volo?

heading to Toronto in a couple of weeks, any recommendations around parliament st/downtown for nice bars. Hoping to leave half-pint with the grandparents babysitting one or 2 evenings...

Tons and tons of recommendation, it's amazing how many places there are.

Stroll south of Parliament and hit King/Queen/Front street area, you have C'est What? Beer Bistro and Bar Hop, don't miss out on CW or Bar Hop, I've tons more recommendations if you want to chat on PM
