I can assure you there was no clicking of fingers or anything like that (i know youre not suggesting that either). We had just arrived into the place and walked up to the counter and ordered the pints politely.
Both of us worked in the pub industry for a log time and my friend still does, we have the utmost respect for public facing people - cos we all know what the public can be like after a few drinks <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt="" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) --> - so i go out of my way to be nice to bar staff etc

Thing is, it was standard practise with the other barmen, I was never comfortable with it.

Thats what he said to justify what he had been caught doing. The pub has a couple of bars, He said they do it in the other bar too.

Beyond unacceptable.

There used to be taps with "recovery" systems built right into them but they've been long taken off the market... anyone know what I'm talking about or what these things were called?


If we had such a think as our own "Good Beer Guide" or a "Cask Marque-like" program, this should be at the top of the list of things to get you kicked out of it! -Unless they just do it for the macro crap. -I heard this is a common and accepted practice for Smithwick's Pale Ale. <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt="" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) -->

Were you in a bar in Dublin then that has bars elsewhere in Dublin...

Sorry, i meant they have a couple of bars within the same premises.
I dont really want to get into the whole which pub it is business - it was in dublin on friday night - i think if they do it as blatant as it was done in front of me, people will cop it and make up their own mind - just look out for it.
If any bar owners wish to pm me to find out if it was a member of their staff i will say whether it was or not.

I didnt post this to try and give bad publicity etc, i genuinely thought i might be missing something about the craft beeer indusrty that was standard practise, as i dont get to be in places which serve it too often.
