Hi guys. I have a friend in Sligo looking to get in to some craft beer. Is there a decent off license with any sort of a range in Sligo? Cheers for any info.

Could try Tesco. Can't think of anything else.

Tho I did notice that Tescos in the west don't tend to stock O'Hara's, but they do have London Pride. Dunno about the Sligo store.

(Tesco in Sligo is one of the original pre-Quinnsworth Tescos... back when they judged the market completely wrong and stocked Tetleys instead of Lyons etc)

on castle st there is a off licence (called foleys i think) that is hands down the best one for slection in the town. however it has been a couple of years since i was there and about 10years since i lived there.
if its still there it is near the junction with abby st.
this place looks abit all over the shop inside and hard to get around but they used to sell a bit of everything including cigars.

as regards pubs i have to say i cant think i can remember any selling draugh craft beer but i am sure there has to be now. if you want i can ask my dad who livesthere.

there was possably still is a pub called hartigans on the top of oconnell st that was a protected building that was very original inside. a real nice place to have a pint and i seem to recall seeing a few diffrent btls behind the counter. i know for sure they sell btls of guinness extra stout.

as i siad i will ring my dad tonight and ask him for a pub update
