Some GREAT Beers in Dublin 14 years 10 months ago #1

There were some GREAT beers to be had on Friday around town.

Really liked the Porterhouse Hop Head on Cask. I had never tried Dungarvin Helvic Gold before simply because Blond isn't my style but it's SUPER refreshing on cask; I regret snubbing it for so long. The Brewdog 6am Saint Amber on tap at Against the Grain was the beer of the night if not the best beer I've had in the last few MONTHS.
-I remember some other folks commenting on it on here; I can't stress just how different it is on tap vs. bottled. It is just loaded with nutty malt goodness.

I finally got to try the Messer's Pale Ale, too but my palate was pretty wrecked by then so I'll need to give it another try at a later date.

Great to get to see so many Beoir folks out at all the craft beer spots in Dublin too (seemed like half of Beoir was out on Friday night).

PH Hophead on cask and Brewdog 6am Saint on Tap are MUST try beers go get'em while they're still around!

Great to meet you on Friday Biertourist, I might have been a little worse for wear by that time tho.

Im a huge fan of Dungarvan on cask but like you the Brewdog pints were the king for me

Is that a different beer than the 5am Saint? (which is so good I'm prepared to forgive Brewdog for all the fecking around they do with other beers. Though their Avery Brown Dredge is great.)
