Great beers - I expect they will be horrendously expensive though

Your not wrong there, these will only be sold through offies, no bar could sell them at the right price. I've seen the prices

I keep reminding myself that I paid 78kr (€10) for a bottle of Imperial Stout in an offie last Friday in Oslo. And enjoyed it.

350ml of Nøgne Ø Saison in a pub cost me 72kr (€9.30) last Monday. A 500ml bottle of the Imperial Stout in the same pub cost 115kr (€15). To put it in perspective, a 500ml glass of generic fizzy yellow stuff costed 72kr in the same pub, and a pint of Murphys costs 81kr (€10.50). So that may be clouding my judgement. Check out this pricelist[/url:3peqp5ak]!

In Edinburgh a bottle of the Imperial brown Ale costs £7 in the Brew Dog Bar. They had a few bottles of Red horizon for £12.

Stupid Norwegian taxes.

So hopefully, whatever they are charging here, as an occasional treat it will still be less than what I paid in Norway. Plus next time I'm there I can spend all my money on Haandbryggereit stuff.

Silenus, you should get in at least one bottle just so you can have it on the menu. Any Norwegian tourists would think it a bargain!

I've bought Nøgne Ø beer in Amsterdam off licences for a very unNorwegian €4-5 a bottle.

The imperial stout is worth every cent.

GREAT stuff.

Anyone have a list of offies carrying it yet?

McHugh's in Kilbarrack have confirmed to me that they will have it. I am currently camped outside waiting for the first delivery (not really, but I intend to pay a visit as soon as it arrives).
