Smithwick's Pale Ale 15 years 6 days ago #7

Just had a look at the website. It nearly persuaded me there was some taste! <!-- s:shock: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_eek.gif" alt=":shock:" title="Shocked" /><!-- s:shock: -->

I only drink Smithwicks when I'm taking it easy but want something with slightly more body than a Ballygowan.

Just dawned on me. Could Smithwicks Pale Ale be a weaker, lighter version of the regular stuff, along the lines of Guinness Mid Strength?

Sure, but Guinness Mid Strength is seriously weak, probably a marketing and commercial disaster, so marketing Smithwicks Pale Ale @ 2.5 - 2.8% can't be any worse?

It just wouldn't surprise me if they did something like that.

Surely it will just be yellow Smithwicks. Or a Smithwicks "lager" if you will.

Smithwicks - where's the skull and cross bones Smilie ??

I am old enough and sad enough to rember Guinness Brio
( their weizzen beer ) as being pretty good <!-- s:P --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_razz.gif" alt=":P" title="Razz" /><!-- s:P --> ( but compared to .de VVV expensive <!-- s:( --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" title="Sad" /><!-- s:( --> )
