O Hara's IPA - Extract Recipe request 15 years 2 months ago #1

Hi All,
I have recently developed a liking for this very tasty beer and this has led me to ponder if I could attempt to brew a copy. Now, I'm relatively new to brewing and am still at the extract brewing stage but thinking of going all-grain soon. Does anyone out there have an idea of ingredients - either extract or all-grain. So far all I have found was reference to hop additions from Beer Nuts Blog - Cascade, Amarillo and Chinook - any suggestions would be appreciated.

It's pretty hard to get a recipe out of Liam <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) --> I'd say the Chinook is for bittering and the others are flavour and aroma additions, and it's definitely dry hopped, but that's about all I know about it.

I think they got the hops backways.

Considering how great this beer is, I think it's getting to a point where Carlow need to guard that 'recipe' like old Col. Sanders himself.

True, but even if I had an inkling of a recipe - it wouldn't stop me from buying the real deal!
