Cheapest Saison? 15 years 3 months ago #1

What's the cheapest Saison anyone's seen in Dublin?

Every time I try this style, I like it a little bit more, but I just don't understand why it's so expensive; seems like a perfect beer to homebrew just because of the cost of commercial examples.

-Just finished the normal Saison Dupont and am moving on to Foret (the organic certified beer in the Dupont stable).

Thank you Whole Foods! (It's not cheap in the US either...)

DrinkStore have Saison Silly[/url:1ial1zf2] listed for €2.70. That sounds reasonable to me.

Cheapest alright but not a great beer

la chouffe is not bad 750ml for eight euro and you get free yeast too!

Adam,

how much were the Dupont beers, and where did you get them?

Most of the online UK stores will have Dupont 75cls for £3.99 which I think is a very fair price. I will usually buy these in bulk as its one of the classic beers!

What price is orval near you? Not everyone would agree but I view it as a saison.

Ps if anyone can ever get any of the Fantome range of beers I will bite your hand off!

I would definitely disagree about Orval being a Saison, but I'm curious what brought you to this conclusion.

I'd LOVE to get a hold of some Fantome; the Cracked Kettle in Amsterdam has/had some but shipping to Ireland isn't very cheap.
