Article on the BBC website today on Argentinian craft beer in patagonia.

Interesting article as I'd love to go to Patagonia someday, if only for the €5 as big as your head lobos (steak)! Not too sure on the beer pilgrimage title, but it is written by the Lonely Planet so it would be par for the course . That chili beer sounds interesting though!

There's a couple of brewpubs in Buenos Aires, one that I spent plenty of time in was Antares[/url:bt49mxmh], they had a couple of lovely beers inc and Imperial Stout and an IPA at the time, but it's not on their list anymore, perhaps a seasonal.
They've also expanded since I was there, they didn't have a place in Mendoza or Rosario to my knowledge.

And then of course there's quilmes

But there's also some absolutely amazing wines to be had over there for next to nothing, HUGE fan of Malbecs. And yes, the steaks are to die for.

Highly recommend Argentina as a destination. Great place.

Yeah, I was there a few years ago on rugby tour. All I remember were Quilmes, the HUGE pressure in the scrums (I played front row), and the dinners. You got three courses of giblets (kidneys, livers, stomach etc.) before you got to the steak!! And everyone is stick thin down there, Argentia is a walking advertisement for the Atkins diet!

Yuck!
Quilmes can be found at a wine store in Black Rock (a chain)... can't remember the name right now...

I'd save my money for something better.
