So I thought that I would tell you folks first.

After a long time thinking about how this could be done me and my friend have finally taken the plunge. We have bought a 230 Liter Bordeaux barrel and have managed (after much pleading) to persuade Hanssens Artisinaal to sell us some oude and jounge lambic. Hanssens will also give me tuition!

We intend to produce a Bordeaux Barrel Blackberry fruit lambic this summer with Hanssens aged lambic. Its all quite exciting!!

The majority of the bottles will be going into our private collections but if its good enough then we will release maybe 50 bottles.

If it turns out bad, it still wont put us off trying again maybe with Teyberries. The whole idea is to make private batches that really interest us.

What do you guys think?

It's a worthy ambition. How long until the finished product sees the inside of a bottle?

Exciting news. Put me down for a couple of bottles whatever they're like! And best of luck with the project!

Fantastic!

Keep up the crazy passion for/ obsession with lambics! Great stuff.

I'll definitely support you in this and any other crazy experiments so you can put me down for a bottle or two regardless of how it turns out. (Worst case scenario, it will put a good shine on all my brewing equipment.)

Neat.

I'm going to put 5L of wort out in my garden some night and see what happens.
