Vienna Dark Lager at the Porterhouse 15 years 5 months ago #1

It looks like the Porterhouse will be re-introducing Vienna Dark Lager as of tonight. They had this as their winter seasonal about 3 or 4 years ago and I remember it being a truly exceptional beer - the best they've ever produced. Are my memories of this stuff too rosy? Was anyone else fond of it?

I had some this evening, I liked it. All I could taste pretty much was the vienna malt. So bready, almost milky. like milky bread. hard to describe. tastes just like it does when you chew the grain raw. I expected it would be dark, like blackish, but it's amber, not too dark at all.

lads all I will say is you can keep it,had a pint on friday night with a friend of mine and we both did not like it,however we where in mulligans on manor street and where drinking "dark arts" except for a poor head on the beer it was top class, this is a decent beer and goes down well.
