I saw the Stout and Ale in Aldi in Nutgrove, didn't get any as I had shag all cash but this is made by the O'Hara's boys in Carlow yeah?

They had maybe two dozen bottles I think at 2quid if I remember right.

Going by how unpopular this thread is and the shitty reviews the two are getting, I doubt it.

I wonder what was it that led them to stop using Carlow then. If this stuff is crap then you'd assume they're getting it in cheaper and maybe the Carlow stuff wasn't selling as well...

They fecking sell Guinness as well. Come to think of it so are Marks n Sparks. Hard for O'Haras to compete with a 12pack of the usual when it comes to joe public...

Tried both of these and thought they were pretty good, particularly the stout which is quite choclatey. It seemed very like o'haras but is 4.5% so I guess not exact same recipe.
