*Sniff* Don't like it either. The English aren't very good with golden ales, far as I can see. Summer Lightning's OK, but not very challenging.

B&T is by the far the best UK Golden Ale that I've tried, Summer Lightning pales by comparison.

I love Fullers darker beers but Honey Dew just doesn't do it for me, nor do any of their other lighter beers like Discovery. I'm not too keen on honey flavour in beers. I bought a bottle of Sleeman's Honey Brown Lager this evening (an impulse buy). It was hideous. It's a long time since I've emptied the majority of a beer fown the sink.

I had the Discovery and Sam Adams tonight. Sam Adams definitely tops these two, a lovely "full" tasting beer (if that's a good description..). I think I'll be investing in a case of this and Bitter and twisted, in the not too distant future

No idea what the fuss over Bitter and Twisted is, I didn't like it at all, maybe I caught it on bad day but I couldn't finish the bottle. Which doesn't happen often, as being a staunch environmentalist I hate to see waste.

I ended up throwing the half-full bottle at some passing hippies, who I'd lured down my road by telling them that there was a by-pass being built.

Ah now, that's a bit harsh. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, wrong and all as they may be <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D -->
