Hi, I'm trying to find a list of 20 great beers to pass them on to a friend, preferably with a picture of each one next to a description; the beeradvocate list is useless as most of the top 20 beers are impossible to get.
The only other lists I can find are ones with Heineken and Budweiser included which is obviously not what I want at all.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Koenig Pils[/url:23u79t8x] or Koepi as it's known is a lovely Pils when done right.

Hoevels[/url:23u79t8x] is a beauty if you can get your hands on it.

Frankenheim Alt[/url:23u79t8x] for a nice alt beer.

Mine is a very German centric list which comes from having lived there for so long. Others will probably help you out on the Belgian front. I think they are of the best beers I had without mentioning small town breweries that you won't get anywhere else anyway.

Are you passing the beers on to your friend as a gift basket or just a list of beers ?

If it's the former, one of the quality off-licenses like drinkstore could probably suggest a good selection and deliver it to you.

Is this friend buying in Ireland?
And does s/he have a preference for style or nationality? (e.g. some people don't like Belgian yeast or big American hopping)

I just wanted a list of great beers from a website so the person could then choose what they most preferred at some future time.
