Paulaner Salvator Doppelbock 15 years 8 months ago #1

It's been way too long since I've had this.

I could've sworn it was much darker like an Ayinger Celebrator Doppelbock but colored like a double modern German Oktoberfest (dark orange) instead.

It's much more like a darker Maibock than I remember (which of course makes complete sense); there's no beer that I've ever had that could benefit from oak aging more...

Anyone know of a good oaked Celebrator-type Doppelbock?
(Or any Oakaged Scottish Ales or Weeheavies?(Which are the ale version of an Ayinger Doppelbock as far as I'm concerned.)

(Yea, I could make one, but I honestly don't think I'm patient enough to wait on a doppelbock to finish...)
